Welcome to Sankhusava Multiple Campus Chainpur
Sankhuwa Sava Multiple Campus was established in 2037 B.S. as a community campus. This campus has been running three bachelors’ level programs in the faculties of Humanities, Education and Management to provide education to the educationally disadvantaged students, women, backward ethnic groups and others. The admission rate of the students is poor in humanities. Similarly, admission trend of students in education and management is also not as the expectation of the campus. We have been planning and trying hard, and experiencing some changes on the trend The number of female students is more than males and the pass percentage of the students is not so satisfactory. To improve the result of the students, lecturers, students and stakeholders have been organizing interaction programs. We have been managing additional classes for the sake.
The campus is located at the best geographical location of Chainpur Municipality. The land area of the campus is enough for running its programs. But physical structures are not enough. We have four buildings with twelve class rooms. That is not enough for the programs and subjects. We are in plan of adding other buildings in the days to come. As we had conducted +2 programs in the past, we have enough furniture for the students at present. We need to manage furniture for administrative and other official departments. More than that, we need to modernize our physical structures including toilets, buildings and furniture.
The financial condition of the campus is challenging. Due to the downfall of the student numbers in the previous years, it has been facing loss on earning. More than that, its sustainable source of earning, community education hydro power is not also in function. For running and improving the condition, the campus has been taking support and aid from local government, provincial government, Parliament Development Fund. We have been also conducting regular interactions with local guardians, businessmen, intellectuals and other stakeholders on the issue of management of sustainable fund for smooth running of the campus.
Being a community campus, the campus has been drawing attention and taking support from the community. We have trend of inviting the donors and other stakeholders on various occasions like annual functions, Sarswati puja and so on. We have Campus Management Committee as a bridge between campus and community. We are also in the process of formation of Campus Assembly for building the relation with community stronger.
In the near future, we are at the verge of running M. Ed programs in Nepali Education and Educational Planning and Management. Selection on HERP of UGC has been also supporting to campus to add its good
will in the public.
